What type of shapes of a plot are considered to be auspicious? Why?
According to Vastu, the best shapes
for plots, buildings, and even rooms in the building are regular ones. Vastu is
really specific about it, and establishes that the ideal situation is to have
either squares of rectangles.
It doesn’t mean that other regular
shapes cannot be used in an auspicious manner. For example, when faced with a
trapezoid shape one should consider wether it’s for residential or business
purposes. In the first case Gau Mukha should be considered. As residential
building it would benefit it the narrower part of the construction would be in
the front and the wider one at the back. For business, the second case, it
would be beneficial to have the Singh Mukha, which establishes that the wider
part should be in front and the narrower at the back.
Vastu considers that having
regularity around us will help us have, and strive towards, a regular life. For
that reason all iregularity should be avoided or corrected according Vastu
